Smashing Magazine invited me to sit down for a one-on-one with “Uncle” Dave Rupert to discuss web components, yes, but also check in on Dave’s new Microsoft gig and what the ShopTalk co-host is working on these days.
I first met Dave in 2015 when CSS Dev Conf took place in my backyard, Long Beach. It’s not like we’ve been in super close touch between then and now — we may have only chatted one-on-one like that a couple other times — but talking with Dave each time feels like hanging with a close friend ands this time was no different.
