When I first wanted to do this project, I had to search through thousands of pages to get proper data on Islamic banking operations and failed to find any such data source. Every bank or firm I talked to had confidentiality issues when giving me their data or didn’t understand the use of my project.

Creativity Helped me here

Despite not finding any proper dataset I did come across a financial report published by the Islamic Financial Services Board on all Islamic banking operations by country, being in Pakistan I wanted my project to represent Pakistan’s Islamic banking activity and trends, Thus I came up with the idea to convert a FINANCIAL REPORT INTO A USABLE DATASET !

We have to rearrange all values in one column into multiple columns similar to Data Transposition.

In terms of financial statements by multiple years I arranged all items listed into features with defining headers for each.

Create a new header for multiple transactions as I turned All Balance sheet items into data features and created a new column for ‘Year’ to mark every period of the transaction that occurred.
