UPDATE: May. 4, 2024, 10:00 a.m. EDT This story has been updated with additional Star Wars Day deals and new releases.

Thousand-piece LEGO sets. Dirt-cheap video games. Stormtrooper-shaped squeaky toys. Washable rugs patterned with tiny Grogu heads. A Jedi craves these things.

And those are exactly the types of things we’re getting for Star Wars Day 2024. This unofficial holiday celebrates the beloved space saga every year on “May the 4th” (because wordplay), ushering in an exciting lineup of limited-time deals and new product releases across retailers.

Below, we’ve put together a running list of all the drops you shouldn’t miss, whether you’re a casual fan, a hardcore collector, or a stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder.

May the 4th sales

Target — save up to 20% (but sometimes more) on select Star Wars merch

Live now through May 4, Target’s Star Wars Day sale is crammed with deals on themed apparel, toys, limited-edition collectibles, costumes, home décor, books, backpacks, and even groceries. (I’m disappointed that no one thought of “Gro-gurt,” though.) Its main landing page promises discounts up to 20% off, but we found some that are even higher: A Star Wars laptop backpack is 58% off, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is 57% off, for example. (For even steeper discounts on Star Wars video games, keep scrolling.)

Walmart — save on Star Wars merch and preorder new action figures

In addition to discounting a slew of Star Wars stuff across virtually every department (clothes, bedding, party supplies — you name it), Walmart also has several Hasbro toys and action figures up for preorder. Buying any of them and uploading your receipt to preorderforapin.com sometime between now and May 14 will net you a free limited-edition “May the 4th Be With You” pin.

GameStop — B2G1 on select Star Wars merch and save 40% on exclusive deluxe Funko POP! sets

GameStop’s May the 4th sale covers select Star Wars apparel, board games, toys, and home goods. (A Millennium Falcon-shaped waffle maker that also makes waffles shaped like Millennium Falcons? HELLO???) If you buy two of them, you’ll get a third for free. The retailer has also marked down a handful of its exclusive deluxe Funko POP! sets to the tune of 40% off.

LEGO Store — get free gift(s) with your purchase, save on select sets, and earn 2X-4X LEGO Insider points

The LEGO Store is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Star Wars collection with a multi-part Star Wars Day sale that runs in stores and online through May 5. First up, it’s giving away free exclusive gifts with the purchase of select LEGO Star Wars sets while supplies last:

Members of the LEGO Insiders program also receive exclusive discounts on select LEGO Star Wars sets during the sale, including Chewbacca ($35 off), Ghost & Phantom II ($30 off), and the Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama ($15 off). Each purchase will earn them double or quadruple their usual LEGO Insiders points, which can be put toward future discounts and rewards. If you haven’t joined the program yet, now’s a great time — and it’s completely free to sign up.

Acer Store — buy any gaming desktop or laptop and get 50% off select accessories

Need a new rig? I’m not talking about Dr. Nema: Shoppers who purchase a new Acer gaming PC or laptop from its online shop sometime before 11 a.m. ET on May 9 gets half off its Nitro Gaming Controller ($34.99), 23.8-inch Nitro KG2 Gaming Monitor ($179.99), Predator Connect W6 WiFi 6E Router ($299.99), and Predator Rift Lite Gaming Chair ($299.99). If the model you choose happens to have a 14th-generation Intel Core processor under its hood, you’ll also receive a free copy of Star Wars Outlaws, an upcoming open-world Ubisoft game set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Nanoleaf — save on select smart lighting

Nanoleaf takes the whole “Light/Dark Side” thing very seriously. The LED smart lighting brand’s “Revenge of the Sale” has a handful of Star Wars-inspired bundles and kits marked down by up to $196. You can also take 10% off select lightstrips and Shapes using the promo code LIGHTSAVERS.

Chewy — spend at least $100 and get a free $30 gift card with coupon code

Chewy sells all sorts of Star Wars-inspired gear for dogs and cats (think R2-D2 squeaky toys and catnip-filled Millennium Falcon ribbon wands), and you’ll get a free $30 gift card for every $100 you spend across its site through May 5. Just be sure to enter the coupon code HAVEFUN at checkout.

BarkBox — get a Star Wars box and six months of free bonus toys

Sign your dog up for a multi-month BarkBox subscription to snag a Star Wars-themed box of plush toys and treats, plus six free months of its Star Wars Creature Club add-on. That gets your pooch an extra limited-edition Star Wars toy in their next half-dozen shipments.

Ruggable (via Amazon) — save 20% on Star Wars rugs and doormats

Ruggable’s Star Wars collection is 20% off on its Amazon storefront through May 6. Take your pick from 13 designs inspired by the Star Wars original trilogy, prequels, sequels, and spin-offs, including The Mandalorian. (That number will grow by one on May 6 when its popular Darth Vader rug, currently a Ruggable.com exclusive, joins the ranks.)

American Tourister — save 30% and get an extra 10% off with coupon code

Hit the spaceport airport in geeky style. American Tourister’s small Star Wars collection of themed carry-ons and ID tags is 30% off through May 9 at 2:59 a.m. ET, and you can save an additional 10% by entering the code FORCE10 at checkout.

Homesick — save 20% on Star Wars scents

You can take 20% off the candle brand’s Star Wars collection on May 4 using the coupon code MAYTHEFOURTH, in case you’ve ever wondered what the Death Star smelled like inside. (Apparently, it’s a combination of smoked amber, steel, leather, and black myrrh.) Other options include scents inspired by Tatooine, Endor, Trask, Nevarro, and the Millennium Falcon.

Star Wars movies — save up to 80%

Here’s a good excuse to schedule a May the 4th movie marathon: All nine episodes of the Skywalker saga and both standalone spin-offs (Rogue One and Solo) are on sale in the Microsoft Store until May 7. Prices start at $3.99 and $7.99 for individual rentals and purchases, respectively, with bundles available featuring bonus content for the nine main films (48% off) and the sequel trilogy (60% off).

Star Wars video games — save up to 95%

Grab some older Star Wars games on sale so you have something to play in the couple of months before Star Wars Outlaws arrives. We spotted a bunch of shockingly deep discounts across multiple retailers, but mostly in the Microsoft Store:

  • Star Wars: Squadrons (Xbox) — $1.99 $39.99 (save $38)

  • Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition (Xbox) — $2.99 $19.99 (save $17)

May the 4th releases

New arrivals and exclusives at the Disney Store

Disney’s online storefront dropped a new Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary Collection for May the 4th, which includes an exclusive Darth Maul T-shirt, mug, puzzle, and toy Lightsaber as well as a cast pin. Starting at 11 a.m. ET, even more limited-edition merch will be up for grabs: Look out for a remote-controlled BD-1 droid, a Star Wars: Clones of the Republic 187th Battalion Collection, and some Hoth-inspired additions to Starbucks’ Been There Series of location-themed drinkware, among other goodies.

Note that free shipping is available on any order of $75 or more if you use the promo code SHIPMAGIC at checkout.

Star Wars movie memorabilia on eBay

eBay’s exclusive “Your Side of the Fourth” event spotlights two memorabilia collections — one for the Light Side, one for the Dark — which were curated by none other than Billie Lourd, Star Wars actress and daughter of the late, great Carrie Fisher. Featured items include rare signed collectibles and iconic props used in the franchise’s movies, which start at just $0.54 cents. Shoppers can bid on them until 11:59 p.m. ET on May 4.

New LEGO Star Wars sets

The LEGO Store dropped seven brand-new building sets for Star Wars Day 2024, including an updated version of the brick-ified TIE Interceptor it originally launched in 2000. (That was the first entry in its highly detailed Ultimate Collector Series.) After several days of early access for LEGO Insiders, it’s now on sale to the general public.

The other six new LEGO Star Wars sets include:

New LEGO Star Wars coffee table book

The LEGO Store is also coming out with a new 312-page illustrated hardcover coffee table book called The Force of Creativity. It features development art, character designs, and interviews with folks from LEGO and Lucasfilm that shed new light on the evolution of the Star Wars brand — not just LEGO sets, but Star Wars video games, experiences, the fandom, and more. It comes in a protective slipcase that contains a “time capsule” of memorabilia (like an unproduced animation script), and you can preorder it now ahead of its release on July 20, 2024.

New Star Wars CASETiFY collection

Made in partnership with Lucasfilm, CASETiFY’s latest Star Wars collection of tech accessories heads to the Dark Side with motifs inspired by Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. Highlights include a slick laser-engraved aluminum Death Star case and a premium leather-embossed Darth Vader case (both for the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max), plus coordinating Apple Watch bands, AirPod Pro cases, power banks, wireless chargers, and more. Prices range from $38 to $112.

New Darth Vader animatronic at The Home Depot

Move over, Skelly: The Home Depot dropped a new life-size animated Darth Vader prop for May the 4th. It brandishes an LED Lightsaber, says three different phrases with sound effects, and can hold two different Death Star-shaped props (a pumpkin and an ornament, both included). If it’s sold out by the time you try to buy it, keep an eye out for restocks online and in stores later this year.

Star Wars: Tales of the Empire on Disney+

Tales of the Empire is a new animated anthology from Lucasfilm’s Dave Filoni that follows up on 2022’s Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. To quote Mashable UK Editor Shannon Connellan, it “serves up a look at two storylines involving former Jedi Barriss Offee (voiced by Meredith Salenger) and warrior Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) and how they find their way to the Galactic Empire — vengeance, it’s always vengeance.” All six episodes are now out on Disney+.

Fornite Star Wars update

Fortnite got a massive Star Wars-themed update on May 3 that includes new LEGO Fortnite content, new Battle Royale and Rocket Racing quests, an appearance from Chewbacca (plus the ability to unlock his Wookiee Bowcaster), a new Fortnite Festival Jam Stage inspired by Mos Eisley’s cantina, new shop outfits, and much more. It’s free to play on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
