The words from my professor played a crucial role in shaping the path of my Data Science career.

It all started when I was pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Kottayam. I noticed some students around me working on impressive projects, and I wondered where to begin. I started exploring some projects in Full Stack Development and Data Science. However, I found myself more drawn toward Data Science, so I began working on some basic projects in that field.
Soon, I realized that self-learning without a mentor wasn’t the right approach for me. Luckily, one evening I received a mail from IIIT Kottayam about a summer internship program. I felt it was the right opportunity to dive deeper into Data Science. I shortlisted some professors and finally decided that I wanted to work under Dr. Victer Paul.
I approached him and told him that I wanted to do a Machine Learning project under his guidance. He asked me some questions to test my knowledge. Later, he said, “Okay, we are good to go. I have some interesting funded ML projects, and we’ll work on them.” He asked me to send an official mail.
